Killester Division 1 ladies
Killester Division 1 ladies have taken a step closer to the National cup this weekend after comfortably beating Brunnell in Cork 56 - 42
The travelling side got off to a good start in the first quarter. A combination of strong rebounds, tough defence and effective fast breaks set the team up with a comfortable margin which they maintained.
Brunnell made a come back in the third quarter with 12 unanswered points, however Killester's experience and expert coaching by Eamon Molloy held strong for the girls until the final whistle.
Elaine O'Neill was unstoppable with 3 point shots as well as some nice 2 point plays finishing on 23 points. She was ably supported by Mrs G Lover with 11 points and the captain, Ciara Fenton, with great control and 6 points.
