11890 Killester unbeaten
11890 Killester and DCU Saints are the only unbeaten sides in the NIVEA FOR MEN Superleague following the weekend fixtures that saw Killester beat arch rivals Bord Gais Neptune 68-64 and Saints get the better of Belfast Star 84-61.
In a repeat of last years superleague final a much changed 11890 Killester under the new coaching team of Darren O’Neill abd Tom Doherty saw off the challenge of the previously unbeaten Neptune.
O’Neill was delighted to get the win and remain unbeaten. “I thought we did well at times and ran into double digit leads but then we got sloppy and let them back into the game. It was excellent to see the likes of Eoin Chubb and Al Casey doing so well in the scoring stakes. We have a lot to work on before our next game on Bank Holiday Monday at home to Moycullen but as I said last week we are improving all the time”
