Killester Compete at Special Olympics Eastern Region Cup Blitz.
Men’s team take the title Ladies go out in Semi-final cliffhanger
Both Killester’s Men’s and Ladies teams competed at the Eastern Region Cup Blitz in ALSA on Sunday May 25th.
The Men took the title in a close fought encounter with Prosper Fingal coming out 18-14 winners. The win adds to the Eastern Region Division 1 League Title, which the boys recently won and after only 2 full seasons in the division is a brilliant achievement.

The Ladies lost a thrilling Semi Final against South Dublin when they made a brilliant come back only to lose by a single basket. Trailing 18-8 the girls never gave up and were very unfortunate to lose 18-16 with a late effort to tie the game rimming our.
 
There was some great consolation for the girls as they collected the Eastern Region Division 2 Ladies League Title which they had won earlier in the month. This was a great achievement as this the first year that our girls have competed in the league.
